Description
The Application Product Manager serves as product owner of a portfolio of enterprise applications, under the supervision of the IS Enterprise Applications Director. In this capacity, liaise with business stakeholders and vendors, to deliver new solutions using existing enterprise platforms. Demonstrates expertise in these applications, provide support, handles maintenance and upgrades, and makes recommendations on expanding their business use.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
· General ownership and support of practice systems platforms. Researches updates, manages vendor relationships, understands product roadmaps, etc. Understands how each work, how they work together and how lawyers use them.
· Provides guidance and oversight for a portfolio of enterprise applications, such as Legal Desktop including MS Office, Litera Drafting Products, iManage Document Management System and related business tools.
· Works closely with customers, clients, vendors and other team members in the support and delivery of products and solutions.
· Configure, support and maintain the applications portfolio, including the integrations between apps. Create test plans, identify upgrade paths, make recommendations about how/when to move forward, evaluate competitive products/services.
· Researches and reviews third party solutions and makes recommendations to purchase or develop in-house.
· Assists with implementation and provides day to day support for custom developed and vendor solutions. Coordinate patches and upgrades, and escalates issues to other teams or vendors to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
· Sets and implements policies and procedures related to application quality standards and testing.
· Maintain currency in the technical capabilities of our platforms and new technical products within core areas of responsibility.
· Seeks out opportunities to scale team service model and flag opportunities for team efficiencies. Keeps IS Enterprise Applications Director aware of project progress and significant issues.

· Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· Minimum 10 years of IT experience in a legal environment or commensurate experience.
· Good interpersonal and communication skills. Good understanding of business systems and risk mitigation within and outside the legal industry and the related technologies.
