This Privacy Policy describes how TheTopTechJobs("we," "us," or "our") handles personal information when you use https://thetoptechjobs.comand related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Who we are

TheTopTechJobs operates a curated US niche job board. We are not an employer and we do not guarantee that any listing remains open or accurate.

Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account: Email address when you sign in with a magic link, plus optional profile fields stored with your account.
• Subscriptions: Billing is processed by Stripe. We store subscription status and Stripe customer identifiers on your profile; we do not store full payment card numbers.
• Saved jobs and searches: Jobs you save, application-tracking status, and filter combinations you store while logged in.
• Email alerts: Email address and market preferences when you sign up for weekly digests.
• MCP API keys: If you create keys as a subscriber, we store a hashed key, label, usage counters, and last-used timestamps.
• Support: Information you send when you contact us at hello@thetoptechjobs.com.

Information collected automatically

• Usage and analytics: Page views and product events (for example alert signups and subscriptions) that may include page path, referrer, and UTM parameters.
• Authentication cookies: Session cookies set by our auth provider so you can stay logged in.
• Server logs: IP address, user agent, and request metadata processed by our hosting provider for security and reliability.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

• Provide and improve the Service (search, paywall, saved jobs, MCP tools).
• Authenticate you and manage your account and subscription entitlements.
• Send transactional messages (for example login links) and, if you opt in, weekly job digests.
• Enforce fair-use limits on MCP API access.
• Understand product usage and fix errors.
• Comply with law and protect the Service from abuse.

Job listing data

Job titles, descriptions, employers, and apply links are aggregated from third-party job feeds and employer sites. That content is not your personal information, but it may incidentally mention individuals named in postings. We display this data to help you discover roles; employers control the underlying listings.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

• Service providers that help us run the Service, such as hosting (Vercel), database and authentication (Supabase), payments (Stripe), and email delivery (Resend), under contracts that limit their use of your data.
• Employers and apply destinations when you click an apply link — you leave our site and their privacy practices apply.
• Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
• Business transfers if we merge, acquire, or sell assets, subject to this policy.

Email communications

Magic-link emails are necessary to use passwordless login. Weekly digest emails are optional; each includes an unsubscribe link, or you can remove digests from your account page. You may also email hello@thetoptechjobs.com. Marketing emails, if we send them, will include an unsubscribe option.

Retention

We keep account and subscription data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, billing, and security purposes. Job listings are removed from public view and deleted from our database on a rolling schedule as they age out. Analytics events may be retained in aggregate form.

Security

We use industry-standard measures such as encryption in transit, access controls, and hashed API keys. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise rights, email hello@thetoptechjobs.com. We may verify your request before responding.

You can delete saved jobs and searches from your account, revoke MCP keys on the account page, and cancel subscriptions through the Stripe billing portal linked from your account.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

International users

We are US-focused. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed in the US and other countries where our providers operate.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate.
