This Privacy Policy describes how Boolean and Bean Pty Ltd("we," "us," or "our") handles personal information when you use https://thetoptechjobs.comand related services (the "Service"). TheTopTechJobs is a product of Boolean and Bean Pty Ltd. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.
Boolean and Bean Pty Ltd is an Australian private company based in Victoria, Australia. We operate TheTopTechJobs, a curated US niche job board. TheTopTechJobs is not a separate legal entity. We are not an employer and we do not guarantee that any listing remains open or accurate.
We use personal information to:
Job titles, descriptions, employers, and apply links are aggregated from third-party job feeds and employer sites. That content is not your personal information, but it may incidentally mention individuals named in postings. We display this data to help you discover roles; employers control the underlying listings.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
Magic-link emails are necessary to use passwordless login. Weekly digest emails are optional; we use your account email for a digest only after you request it. We record subscription and verification information needed to operate the digest and demonstrate consent. Each digest identifies us and includes a direct unsubscribe link, or you can remove digests from your account page. Unsubscribing does not require login and is actioned promptly and within five working days. You may also email hello@thetoptechjobs.com. Marketing emails, if we send them, will require an appropriate basis and include an unsubscribe option.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide the Service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal, tax, accounting, and billing obligations. In determining a retention period, we consider the nature and sensitivity of the information, the risk of harm, and applicable legal requirements.
We use industry-standard measures such as encryption in transit, access controls, and hashed API keys. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing. This may include rights under applicable Australian privacy law and, for California residents, the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise a right or make a privacy complaint, email hello@thetoptechjobs.com. We may verify your request before responding.
You can delete saved jobs and searches from your account, revoke MCP keys on the account page, and cancel subscriptions through the Stripe billing portal linked from your account. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of other account information by emailing us from your account email. We do not charge a fee merely for making a request.
To request deletion of your account, email hello@thetoptechjobs.com from the email associated with the account. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity. Deletion may not be immediate where information must be retained for billing, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, or legal compliance. We will delete or de-identify remaining personal information when those purposes no longer require it. Deleting an account does not itself cancel an active Stripe subscription; cancel billing through the account portal or contact us for assistance.
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
We are based in Australia and the Service focuses on US job listings. Your information may be processed in Australia and the United States, including by providers supporting hosting, authentication, database, payments, and email delivery. Some providers may use additional locations listed in their own service and subprocessors documentation. Privacy protections in those countries may differ from those where you live. We take reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances to protect personal information handled by overseas providers. You may contact us for current information about likely overseas processing locations.
Send an access, correction, deletion, or privacy complaint to hello@thetoptechjobs.com. Please describe your request and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant account or activity. We may verify your identity before disclosing or changing information. We will acknowledge the request, investigate it fairly, and aim to provide a substantive response within 30 days. If more time is reasonably required, we will explain why and provide an updated timeframe.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or another regulator or dispute-resolution body in your jurisdiction. This does not limit any other right or remedy available to you.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate.
