As a Quality Engineering Manager here at Honeywell, you will help shape our unwavering commitment to quality excellence. You are integral to ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services. You will report directly to our Plant Director and you’ll work out of our Woonsocket, RI location in an On-site work schedule. In this role, you will impact the consistent enhancement of product quality, instilling trust in our customers and setting new industry benchmarks. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead and manage the quality engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration among team members. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's success. - Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies, plans, and processes that form the backbone of our quality initiatives. - Continuously monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Use data-driven insights to enhance product quality and the efficiency of quality control processes including improvement in cost of poor quality (yield, scrap, etc…) - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization with a heavy emphasis on BIQ (built in quality). - Conduct product and process audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. - Host Customer and 3 rd party visits and audits - Manage customer complaints effectively by investigating root causes, implementing corrective actions, and monitoring their effectiveness to enhance customer satisfaction. YOU MUST HAVE - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics - 6+ years’ experience in the manufacturing industry, demonstrating your understanding of the unique quality challenges in this sector. - Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, fostering a culture of quality and excellence across the organization. - Proficiency in quality management systems and methodologies, with the ability to conduct audits and implement corrective and preventive actions. - Knowledge of statistical analysis tools and techniques to strengthen data-driven quality and continuous improvement initiatives - The ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation, ensuring processes remain at the forefront of quality standards. WE VALUE - Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies, facilitating continuous improvement and process optimization. (Lean expert and Blackbelt) - Experience in Aerospace, Defense, and Space sectors. - Experience in AS9100D, QPL, AS1300, UL, and FAA Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
