About the Role at Alloy Therapeutics The Chief Product Officer (CPO) of the Antibody-Powered Division is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and operationalizing APD’s portfolio of scientific platforms, capabilities, and commercial offerings into differentiated, scalable products and services that drive revenue growth and strategic market leadership. This executive serves as the central architect of APD’s product strategy, translating scientific innovation into clear market-facing offerings across antibody discovery, transgenic platforms, engineering technologies, AI-enabled discovery systems, and downstream therapeutic enablement. The CPO will partner closely with: - Business Development - Partnerships & Alliances - Scientific Leadership - Marketing - Operations - Finance to ensure APD’s capabilities are packaged, positioned, and delivered in ways that maximize customer value, competitive differentiation, and long-term downstream value share. Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Portfolio Leadership - Own the strategic roadmap for APD’s product and platform portfolio, including: - ATX-Gx / CLC platforms - VHH and nanobody technologies - SeqImmune - mAbForge - Multispecific engineering - Developability and screening services - Cell-based assay platforms - AI/ML-enabled antibody discovery initiatives - Tg32- pharmacokinetics - Evaluate market opportunities, competitive positioning, and unmet customer needs - Define product prioritization frameworks aligned with revenue and strategic goals Scientific Capability Packaging & Commercialization - Convert internal scientific capabilities into: - Clearly defined service offerings - Licensing packages - Platform products - Data products - Strategic partnership opportunities - Ensure offerings are: - Easy for BD teams to communicate - Operationally scalable - Scientifically differentiated - Commercially compelling Cross-Functional Product Development - Lead cross-functional alignment between: - Discovery scientists - Engineering teams - Business Development - Marketing - Alliance Management - Operations - Drive stage-gated product development processes - Establish product lifecycle management discipline Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy - Monitor emerging trends in: - Antibody therapeutics - Bispecific and multispecific engineering - AI-driven drug discovery - Transgenic animal platforms - Developability and manufacturability technologies - Assess competitor positioning and identify whitespace opportunities - Help define APD’s engines of differentiation and market messaging Customer & Partner Insight Leadership - Engage directly with: - Pharma partners - Biotech customers - Strategic collaborators - KOLs and industry experts - Translate customer feedback into product roadmap decisions - Ensure APD offerings evolve with market demand Revenue & Growth Enablement - Partner with BD leadership to improve: - Product-market fit - Win rates - Average deal value - Renewal and expansion opportunities - Support development of: - Pricing strategies - Packaging models - Platform bundling strategies - Licensing frameworks AI, Data & Platform Strategy - Help define APD’s long-term strategy around: - Antibody datasets - Functional screening datasets - Sequence-to-function mapping - AI-enabled optimization workflows - Identify opportunities to build defensible data assets and AI-enabled products Leadership Expectations The successful candidate will: - Operate as an enterprise-level strategic leader - Bring structure and clarity to highly technical environments - Bridge scientific depth with commercial practicality - Drive alignment across diverse teams and personalities - Create scalable systems rather than one-off solutions - Balance innovation with operational discipline Qualifications Required experience: - 15+ years’ experience in biotechnology, pharma, biologics, or platform technology companies - Significant experience in: - Product management - Platform strategy - Scientific commercialization - Antibody discovery or engineering - Demonstrated success launching or scaling scientific platform offerings - Strong understanding of biologics discovery and development workflows Preferred Experience: - Antibody therapeutics - Bispecific/multispecific engineering - AI-enabled drug discovery - Transgenic animal platforms - CRO/CDMO or platform biotech business models - Strategic partnerships and licensing Critical Competencies Scientific & Technical - Deep understanding of antibody discovery ecosystems - Ability to synthesize complex technical concepts into product strategy - Strong appreciation for developability, manufacturability, and translational considerations Commercial - Strong market intuition - Ability to identify scalable commercial opportunities - Experience partnering with business development and marketing organizations Operational -
