Description

Overview The Product Manager – Pump Stations will be responsible for driving sales and market share growth for pump stations, pump parts and pump services at Rain Bird. The ideal candidate must be able to analyze market opportunities and deliver a global strategic vision and plan to increase sales and gain market share while improving the profitability of the portfolio. The strategic plan will incorporate product roadmaps, localized, national and global promotional plans, marketing collateral development and new product launches. The Product Manager will work with Engineering on New Product Development and sustaining work, with Manufacturing on improving product costs and optimizing production output, along with planning for capacity needed for growth, and with Sales to understand our customer needs and requirements. The selected candidate will also have strong potential for future management positions at Rain Bird. Responsibilities - Develop and drive global market strategies to increase sales and market share of existing product lines in both established and new markets. - Develop long-range product line strategies across customer segments that achieve substantial growth and profitability through new product introductions. - Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing new product development teams to deliver the highest quality products, while achieving schedule, investment, revenue and margin targets. - Lead research business intelligence on competitors, customers, market trends and government regulations to develop positioning, pricing and growth strategies for new product initiatives in the pump station segment. - This position requires 25% travel Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: - 5+ years of product management and marketing leadership experience in a manufacturing company. - Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business, marketing or engineering. - Pump and/or pump station sales or marketing experience - Excellent prioritization skills and ability to get results. - Strong interpersonal, influencing and leadership skills. - Experience marketing with focus on new product development/product launches - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, MS Project, Outlook). DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Use of AI tools a plus. - Project management experience and a track record of success with new product development. - International market development experience.
