Position Title: Full Stack Engineer Location: Remote — EST Time Zone Employment Type: Full-Time, Salaried Exempt Schedule: Monday–Friday About the Opportunity Cascadience, a VIABILITY Company, is building Volio , an innovative AI-powered digital companion designed to support neurodivergent individuals, including people with ADHD, Autism, and Anxiety. Volio is evolving into an engaging student companion that combines AI-powered support, intelligent scheduling, long-term memory, and gamified experiences to help reduce cognitive overload and support independence. As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll help build and scale the technology behind Volio while working closely with product, operations, marketing, and external partners. Key Responsibilities - Build and maintain our Python/FastAPI backend running on AWS ECS Fargate. - Develop and improve AI-powered multi-agent workflows using Amazon Bedrock and LangGraph . - Build and optimize RAG pipelines and long-term semantic memory. - Develop mobile features using React Native, Flutter, or native iOS/Android technologies . - Create lightweight 2D gamification and student progression features. - Integrate GPS/geolocation functionality for school and class-related experiences. - Design and maintain data models across PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and MongoDB Atlas . - Contribute to AWS infrastructure, Terraform, and secure cloud architecture. - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions . - Support mobile releases through Apple App Store Connect and Google Play. - Monitor application performance using tools such as New Relic, OpenTelemetry, and AWS X-Ray . - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn ideas into accessible, reliable products. Required Qualifications - 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building production applications, APIs, or mobile applications. - Strong experience with Python and preferably FastAPI. - Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or MongoDB. - Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD automation. - Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. - Ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast-paced startup environment. - Genuine interest in accessibility, inclusion, and technology that improves people's lives.
