Job Description - Design and build highly reliable, performant and secure platform building blocks - Influence the platform team roadmap and own the evolution of multiple platform areas - Partner within and across engineering teams to provide cross cutting solutions - Consistently deliver deadline sensitive work that is interdependent with other engineering teams - Challenge the status quo and be responsible for continuous improvement of the platform - Regularly participate in peer code and engineering design reviews Qualifications - 5+ years of experience designing, building, shipping, and maintaining products or platforms - B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or an equivalent field - Experience building and integrating with API-based platforms and have a good understanding of REST and other RPC based systems - Experience building and maintaining microservices in Python/Golang/Java/C++ - Desire to work at a startup pace with a high degree of ownership - Demonstrated ability to communicate complex engineering concepts concisely and clearly to product and other cross-functional stakeholders - Strong motivation, gumption, and an appetite for continuous, incremental changes and completing challenging projects fast - High level of curiosity about engineering outside of your immediate discipline and an incessant desire to learn - Willingness to learn and an openness to giving and receiving feedback Additional Information Base Salary Range: $143,200 - $243,000 Work Personas We approach our distributed world of work with flexibility and trust.
