Description

Drive the future of how Pearson works as part of the AgentOps team in the Office of the CTO (OCTO). Inspire innovation. Empower learning. Pearson, the world’s leading learning company, is hiring an Advanced Specialist, Technology Solutions to join AgentOps — the team on a mission to make Pearson the world’s best symbiotic workforce, where world-class experts and cutting-edge AI agents collaborate and learn together to deliver on Pearson’s promise. Why This Role Matters: AI is rewiring how the world works — including how people learn and how the work of learning gets done. Pearson’s purpose is to help people realize the life they imagine through learning, and delivering on that promise at global scale depends on freeing our experts to do their best, most human work. That’s why AgentOps exists: to build a symbiotic workforce where Pearson’s people and cutting-edge AI agents work side by side — so the company can move faster, serve learners better, and lead this new era rather than react to it. In this role, you’ll own the agentic solutions that reinvent how Pearson works. As a key member of AgentOps at OCTO and Pearson, you will be expected to embody, and role model our leadership dimensions: Live Our Purpose: You align your values, actions, and goals with Pearson’s mission. You inspire others by articulating a compelling vision, connecting daily work to our broader purpose, and making decisions that reflect a deep understanding of our strategy. Simplify the Complexity: You navigate ambiguity and distill complexity into clear, actionable plans. You help teams understand how their work contributes to strategic goals, enabling focus, clarity, and effective execution in a dynamic environment. Carry Our Culture: You foster a culture of customer centricity, high performance, and exceptional collaboration. You lead with integrity, empower others, and build inclusive, high-performing teams that reflect Pearson’s values and behaviors. Deliver Results: You set ambitious goals and execute with quality, precision, and speed. You hold yourself and others accountable for outcomes, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and delivering measurable impact for learners and stakeholders. What You’ll Do - Incubate Zero-to-One Solutions - Spot high-impact opportunities and turn them into agentic solutions — from first concept to real, adopted impact. - Own your solutions end to end and keep making them better. Own the Service - Act as the go-to owner for your agentic solutions — shaping the vision, shepherding them through their lifecycle, and ensuring they deliver lasting value. - Partner with teams across the business to understand their needs and translate them into solutions people love to use. Build Trust & Drive Adoption - Champion safe, responsible and accountable use of AI agents across the organization. - Bring stakeholders on the journey — building the excitement and confidence that turns pilots into everyday tools. Measure What Matters - Track and tell the story of the value your solutions create, from time saved to new ways of working. Who You Are: - A creative entrepreneur energized by building something from nothing. - A natural connector who builds trust and brings people along. - A product thinker with a real technical foundation. - A storyteller who turns complex AI into clear business value. - A believer in the mission — you want your work to help people realize the life they imagine through learning. What You Bring This is a rare “super IC” role — we’re looking for an unusual blend in one person, not a single track: - 5+ years across some mix of product management, solution or service ownership, technical program management, R&D or innovation — ideally more than one of these. - A proven zero-to-one record: you’ve taken ideas from blank page to a live, adopted solution, and owned them through iteration and improvement. - Enough technical depth in AI and agentic systems to make real build decisions, scope what’s feasible, and partner credibly with engineers — without needing to write production code yourself. - Strong product sense and UX/architecture instinct: you can shape both what gets built and how it should feel and fit together. - The delivery skills to orchestrate moving parts, manage stakeholders, and ship reliably against a plan. - Clear, persuasive communication: you can turn a complex agentic capability into a story that wins stakeholders and drives adoption — and you measure the value you create. What You’ll Gain: - The chance to help build the world’s best symbiotic workforce from the ground up — genuinely zero-to-one work. - Room to work at the frontier of agentic AI, with real ownership and autonomy. - Impact you can see: freeing thousands of colleagues to do their best work, in service of learners worldwide. - A small, high-caliber team in the Office of the CTO, with visibility to senior technology leadership. Why Pearson? At Pearson, we don’t just build careers—we accelerate them. Known for our strong culture of internal mobility and leadership development, we offer a clear path to broader strategic and executive roles. This position provides visibility into the Chief Technology Office, with direct engagement with the CTO and the Technology Leadership Team—giving you a seat at the table where decisions shape the future. We believe great work deserves great rewards. That’s why we offer some of the most competitive benefits in the industry—designed to support the diverse needs of our people and their families. Explore our Benefits . At Pearson, we’re reimagining learning through technology. If you're a tech visionary who thrives in complexity, leads with purpose, and is excited by the challenge of enabling AI at scale to drive real-world impact— we’d love to hear from you. Compensation at Pearson is influenced by factors including skill set, experience, and location. The full-time salary range for this role is $95,000 – $160,000. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. Information on benefits can be found here . Applications will be accepted through 20th August 2026.
