Job responsibilities
- Executes creative technical solutions and troubleshoots complex problems across a reusable-components portfolio, thinking beyond routine or conventional approaches
- Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues, improving operational stability and mean-time-to-repair for adopting teams across the enterprise
- Builds components to be drop-in and agent-native (for example, via the Model Context Protocol and CLIs) with automated upgrades, so adopters stay current with minimal effort
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to probe architectural designs and applicability for use within existing systems
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and adoption of leading-edge technologies and shared frameworks
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced skills in one or more programming languages, plus proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle and advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
- Demonstrated proficiency in a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, or machine learning
- Practical cloud-native experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience building SDKs, frameworks, or developer platforms that other engineering teams consume
- Experience with agent-native tooling (for example, the Model Context Protocol or LLM tooling) and AI-assisted development workflows
- Contributions to open-source or internal shared-library ecosystems
