The successful candidate will contribute to backend services, cloud infrastructure, scalable data processing, APIs, automation, and system integration capabilities using C#, Python, and related technologies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Participate in the design, development, review, testing, and deployment of scalable backend and cloud-based software services
- Collaborate with software developers, system test engineers, DevOps engineers, project management, and quality team members to identify, report, and troubleshoot defects in a detailed, efficient, and timely manner
- Develop and maintain software components, scripts, automated tests, and supporting tools that improve reliability, maintainability, and deployment efficiency
- Participate in Agile and iterative software development processes to work towards achieving individual and team goals
- Create project documentation per quality system requirements
- Use software version control, issue tracking, requirements and task management tools in day-to-day work
- Coordinate and collaborate with global team members
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- Previous internship experience with Boston Scientific
- Academic, internship, or professional experience developing software using C# and Python programming.
- Experience creating, testing, and maintaining backend software, scripts, services, APIs, or automated processes
- Familiarity with software development practices such as version control, code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and Agile development
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
Preferred qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills and strong writing skills to document and communicate designs to a cross-functional audience
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Collaborative, flexible mindset
- Passion to stay on top of development trends and tools
- Experience with C# and Python for backend development and prototyping
- Experience designing or implementing REST APIs, web services, JSON-based integrations, or service-oriented applications
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, containers, Kubernetes, messaging, or scalable data processing
- Experience developing software in a regulated, healthcare, medical device, or quality-system environment
- Previous employment or internship experience with Boston Scientific
- Experience developing in a continuous integration environment, including build pipelines, automated tests, or deployment automation

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
