Lead Mobile Engineer

ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Lead Mobile Building Engineer . The Lead Mobile Engineer will be responsible for maintenance and repairs to multiple buildings. Duties include but are not limited to the installation, repair and maintenance of the facility equipment, oversight and upkeep of the physical plant, including grounds, utility services, HVAC, plumbing, electrical system, electronic equipment, yard and pavement upkeep in the best manner possible for the safety and health of all concerned, and to coordinate these activities as needed. The Mobile Lead Engineer is also responsible for the implementation and documentation of site safety plans and all Able Engineering Services operational standards and guidelines as well as site specific standards, policies and procedures relating to the engineering department. Pay Range is: $ 88.28 - $ 88.28 hourly rate | weekly pay Location: San Francisco, Ca Shift: Day shift | Monday - Friday The pay listed is the hourly rate for this position. An offer will vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. Benefit Information: This is a Local 39 union position and as such will include union benefits. \n Essential Functions - Provides supervision and is responsible for the implementation of all preventive maintenance and repair operations at the facility. - Schedules emergency repair activities according to priority and the abilities of assigned personnel. - Provides technical advice, encouragement and instruction to subordinates in such areas as electric theory, mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, and safety procedures. - Perform equipment inspections, noting equipment condition, ensuring that proper maintenance is being performed in accordance with AES standards. - Responsible for the implementation of the quality assurance program for all work performed by the department. - Maintains and performs repairs to buildings, utilities, grounds and equipment. - Optimizes the repair and maintenance of HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems. - Uses and helps provide best practices to troubleshoot and repair equipment and system problems so that problems are resolved in the most efficient and effective manner. - Maintains continuous operations of equipment by trouble‑shooting and repairing. - Provides hands-on training and collaboration to other engineering team members. - Fosters a work environment that promotes energy conservation and continuous improvement of engineering functions. - Records all pertinent data in building logbooks and makes all appropriate daily entries. - Conducts utility and equipment tests. - Records pertinent data on all equipment in accordance with federal, state, and local codes and requirements. - Process administrative paperwork in accordance to departmental policies and procedures. - Actively functions as a team member. - Demonstrates commitment to quality of service. - Complies with Able Engineering Services and facilities’ policies and procedures. - Complies and participates with Able Engineering Services safety program. - Complies and participates in facility specific safety program. - Maintains regular attendance in the workplace. - Provides highest quality of service to the tenants, staff and visitors at the facility. - Participate in regular required communication with Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, management, tenants and other staff. Qualifications - High school diploma or GED required - Valid Driver's License - technical certifications or associate degree preferred. - 5+ years of experience in commercial building maintenance, facilities management, or building engineering. - 2+ years of experience leading maintenance teams or serving in a senior building engineer capacity. - Strong knowledge of: - HVAC systems and controls - Electrical distribution systems - Plumbing systems - Building automation systems (BAS) - Fire and life safety system - Ability to diagnose and repair complex building system issues. - Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. - Proficiency with CMMS or maintenance management software. \n $88.28 - $88.28 an hour \n Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of duties that are required of the employee for this job.
